After a month of free Raspberry Pi giveaways from Newark Canada — we know your anxious to see if you won the final draw. It's been a long four weeks for some of you, but we had loads of entries and were happy to put some shiny new Pi's in the hands of DIY'ers. The wait is finally over — today is the day we are proud to announce who the final winner is!

Final Winner

The final winner of a Raspberry Pi package is:

HighFlight88

Who wrote:

"I have plans to control a system for watering our garden and topping up our fish pond using collected rainwater and solar panels."

Sounds like a great project that would go perfect in our DIY forums! In case you didn't know, you can actually use lower voltage solar panels to trickle charge some higher voltage LIPO batteries. This allows you to build up a charge using smaller panels!

Thank You

Finally we just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for participating. And don't fret if you didn't win, we always have new and exciting contests coming!

Thanks Newark Canada for supplying the prizes!

Sounds more complicated than what I am trying to do. My raspberry pi came with what I needed by default, for the most part.

Good luck with the project!
