AT&T has announced that a number of major app developers have signed on to build apps for its AT&T Drive connected car platform. The apps focus on weather, audio entertainment, and utilities like finding your parked car.
Both iHeartRadio and Stitcher will be integrated into the AT&T Drive to provide music and podcasts as you drive. AccuWeather will bring you local conditions, hourly reports, and a five-day forecast. Newsbeat delivers personalized audio of the day's big headlines. Streetline will also be developing a version of their Parker app for Drive, making it easier to find and pay for parking. Glympse will also be available, letting you share you current location with people you trust while you're driving. All of these apps are voice enabled, letting you keep your eyes on the road.
Car manufacturers will be able to integrate any of these apps into their particular implementation of AT&T Drive. What apps do you hope to see in AT&T's connected car platform? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
