Blocks has confirmed in a blog post today that its modular smartwatch, which is planned for launch next year, will be powered by Tizen. The operating system is the result of a collaboration involving Samsung and Intel, making it quite the universal watch with support in the works for iOS, Android and Windows Phone.
The company has made some progress with its project, making it to the final round of an Intel-sponsored wearable competition. Those of you who are eagerly awaiting the release of Blocks will be pleased to learn that while you're still unable to make the purchase, the company will start reservations tomorrow, enabling consumers to take advantage of discounted early bird prices.
Letting owners essentially select which functions they'd like to have on the smartwatch is such a neat feature and we're excited to get our hands on Blocks.
