Camera KK - A camera app for your Pebble that shows a live preview

Camera KK, a camera app for Android, has just added support for the Pebble smartwatch that allows you not only to snap photos from your Pebble, but also to see a video preview of what your camera sees.

Rather than just blindly use your Pebble as a fire button for your phone's camera, Camera KK gives you a low-res view of what your camera sees, right on your Pebble. You can frame your shot, use the flash and snap away — right from your wrist. The app itself has a ton of settings on your phone including video, panorama, silent, burst, countdown timer and much more.

Features include:

  • 3 modes: camera, video recorder & panorama
  • Silent mode (no shutter sound, might not work on some devices)
  • Live FX photos: 12 effects (only on full version)
  • Pebble smartwatch support (with live preview)
  • Pinch to zoom
  • Configurable volume keys
  • Wide screen pictures
  • Picture quality setting (low/medium/high/ultra)
  • Configurable storage source (Internal/SD card)
  • Countdown Timer
  • Burst mode
  • Guidelines
  • Full brightness option
  • Video/Audio quality configurable

You can grab Camera KK free from Google Play, but in order to take photos from your Pebble you'll have to make an in-app purchase.

I watched this app yesterday. 11 FPS is under laboratory conditions. In reality 2 FPS.
PblCamera in reality gives 5 FPS.

Hi Alex,

people can install the Camera KK watchapp for free and check the REAL speed. The performance is greatly improved if the phone is not moving fast.

Anyway, good luck with your app PblCamera. I think competition is good. No problem.
