We're moving into September, and that means Connectedly has been up and running just about four months now. We set out to be the best connected device site on the planet, and we're well on our way. We scour the web daily in search of the best connected products — and in addition to bringing you the daily news — we've been hard at work on some things that we think will be of great use to you, our readers. We've keyed in on our goal going forward for the next few months, and as we continue to build Connectedly to be the best damn connected site on the planet, we're going to be bring some awesome (and useful!) content over the next few months.

As you may have seen already, we've started working hard on some great buyers guides — so far we've covered the best routers and the best connected lights. In these guides we're going to check out some of the best products on the market, doing all of the hard work so you don't have to. Over the next few weeks we'll be looking at things like connected door locks, smart scales, Bluetooth speakers, wireless headphones, connected thermostats, eBook readers, and much more. We'll break down each device and tell you the pros and cons of each, so you can then make an informed decision about what products fit best in your connected lifestyle. These buyers guides will be our main concentration for a bit, because we're think they're super important as we see more and more new devices, so you can better stay in the know as to what's what without getting extremely overwhelmed.

From there we'll also be diving into what we call Ultimate Guides — head to toe breakdowns of everything you could possible want to know about a specific device or product. These guides will cover everything from purchasing a device, to setting it up, to getting the most of out it. They will cover things like Pebble, Sonos, Fitbit, and Android Wear. We're really excited for these and can't wait to show them off. They're a bit more down the road but well worth the wait.

All of this will lead us up to CES in January, where we expect there to be plenty of amazing connected devices to be had. Just like last year, we'll be on the ground in Las Vegas all week long seeking out the latest and greatest in the connected world so you won't miss a beat. It should be one of the best shows yet and we can't wait to tackle it in full force.

Of course we're always open to comments and suggestions, so if there is anything you think we're missing or something you'd like to see here at Connectedly, you can always reach out to us and let us know. You can reach us on Twitter at @liveconnectedly or by email at connectedly.tips@mobilenations.com. The Connectedly forums are always open as well, and we certainly hope to see you there!

We're extremely excited about the future of Connectedly and the connected device space, and we're glad to have you along with us!

I am really excited to see what is unveiled in the upcoming months. Between the moto 360, the lg, and even the rumored apple watch, I think it is a great time for smart watches and accessories in general. Maybe they will be what is needed to catapult these devices into the mainstream.

Sounds good. I'd like to see Connectedly get more involved in the maker community and the process by which these devices are made. A lot of these projects will grow from small beginnings to companies like Pebble, and it would be good to see a tech blog help in fostering that transition with articles, interviews, guides etc..
