The folks over at TechRadar did a five-way speed test on some of the top smartphones on the market. Included in the test were the iPhone 6, Galaxy S6, HTC One M9, LG G4, and the Sony Xperia Z3.

Their test involved a boot-up of each phone, and opening of 10 different popular apps. Included are Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Twitter, Instagram, Gmail, Maps, Real Racing 3, N.O.V.A 3, BBC Iplayer, and lastly the phones camera and snapping a picture. After which the process repeats itself starting back at the Facebook app.

The Samsung S6 was the clear leader till its 2nd run at opening Real Racing 3 forced the game to load fresh rather than jump right back where it left off. The reload allowed the iPhone 6 to pass it and take the win. The same problem caused the Xperia Z3 to lose its 4th place and finish last.

It would be fun to see this test again but include the new One Plus 2, the Moto X, and a few other choices.
