If you happened to pick up a shiny new Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo or Gear Fit but you're using it with an older Samsung device, it may be time to upgrade your phone as well. The new Gear devices will work fine and dandy with previous devices, but don't you want the latest and greatest phone to maximize your potential? Of course you do — and the Samsung Galaxy S5 is just that device.

Our pals at Android Central went over the Galaxy S5 every which way they could think of, so it's in your best interest to take a look at their extensive review if you're at all considering the S5 as your next device. It's a great compliment to the Gear watches and a great upgrade from the S3 or S4.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Review

I have my Note 3 so it's still good enough for me to not warrant an upgrade to the S5 (or a downgrade in terms of screen size). Was considering a Gear Fit or Gear 2 but ever since I got my Pebble, I'm quite content with what I have. :)

I did purchase a gear2, but returned it for the gear2 neo. I decided just having a camera on my smartwatch isn't worth an extra $100. Now I have to wait until their back in stock. :-(
