The new team in charge of Google Glass will reportedly start from scratch and create a new design for the wearable tech device. This news comes a few weeks after Google ended public sales of the Google Glass Explorer Edition and appointed Nest founder and CEO Tony Fadell as the new leader of the product team.

According to what several people "with knowledge of Mr. Fadell's plans" told The New York Times, he plans to create his version of Google Glass with no ties to the old product. It adds:

"There will be no public experimentation," one adviser to Mr. Fadell said. "Tony is a product guy and he's not going to release something until it's perfect."

The team in charge of the device at Google X felt it was not ready to be revealed but Google co-founder Sergey Brin made the decision to announce Google Glass in order to get public feedback on its design. It would appear that won't be the case for Fadell's version of the product. The new Google Glass will be ready when it's ready.

Waiting for Microsoft Hololens, if the end product works as the prototypes and video demonstrations, Glass does not even come close, but interested to see what Google does in response to Hololens, since it already caused them to completely scrap the old Glass.
