Nashville, Tenn. – May 1, 2014 – Griffin Technology, one of the world's foremost creators of innovations for everyday life, announces their first line of accessories for Fitbit®, Jawbone®, Misfit™ and Sony®. Their initial product offering is designed with users of fitness and activity trackers in mind, with accessory collections for other wearable devices on the horizon as well. Griffin's new line promotes and reinforces an active lifestyle by offering more comfortable and versatile solutions to personalize activity trackers. This new lifestyle movement towards health, fitness and improved well-being through wearable technology continues to attract a community of users looking to leverage new technology for their personal health.

"When the iPod, and later the iPhone and iPad, were first introduced, we created products to help people adapt these new technologies to their lifestyles," said Mark Rowan, President of Griffin Technology. "As more people integrate wearables into their lives, it's been a natural fit for us to apply these same founding principles that have driven our product solutions for the past 22 years. We're excited to be on the ground floor of this new product category with the introduction of these first products in our line of accessories."

Griffin's new accessories for wearables protect, enhance functionality and add style to the most popular fitness tracking devices with development for Samsung® and Pebble™, among others, in the works. The new accessories are comfortable alternatives for everyday use and offer added personal style options beyond the standard options provided by manufacturers. Today Griffin debuts its collection for wearables by rolling out four new accessories for activity trackers with additional offerings to come.

Inspired by the popular ribbon hair ties, Griffin designed Ribbon Wristband ($19.99 for a 2-pack) to give users a stylish way to wear a fitness tracker on their wrist. The perfect way to accessorize an active lifestyle with the latest fashion trend, Griffin's comfortable stretch wristband discretely accommodates the Fitbit Flex, Fitbit One or Sony Smartband in its concealed pocket. Ribbon Wristband is offered in black and pink or silver and purple 2-packs and is available for order today at (current orders shipping in 4-6 weeks).

Caps for Jawbone ($19.99 for a 3-pack) personalize and protect the sync/charge plug on Jawbone wristbands (UP and UP24 models). Designed as replacements for Jawbone's Simple Sync caps, Griffin's new Caps provide swappable, snap-on style. Caps are available in two options, a 3-pack containing silver, black chrome and black or a 3-pack containing iridescent faceted, gold and black faceted. Caps are available for order today at (current orders shipping in 4-6 weeks).

Griffin's new accessories not only offer style and personalization but also enhanced functionality with the Sleep | Sport Band ($19.99), a more comfortable way to wear fitness and sleep trackers. The low-profile band is made of a soft, stretchy lycra and features a protective pocket to secure the activity tracker in place. Sleep | Sport Band may be worn either as a wristband or an armband and its universal design is compatible with a variety of activity trackers including Fitbit Zip, Flex, and One; Misfit Shine; Sony Smartband and more. Sleep | Sport Band features reflective accents for enhanced nighttime visibility and is available for order today at (current orders shipping in 4-6 weeks).

For those who prefer wristband-free running, Griffin's new Shoe Pouch for Fitness Trackers ($14.99) provides a secure and convenient pocket for Fitbit Zip, Flex, and One; Misfit Shine; Sony Smartband; Nike + and more. The ultra-light Shoe Pouch slips under shoelaces or can be laced through secure loops on the back of the pouch. The tracker is protected in a pocket with a Velcro flap that securely fastens keeping the device screen protected. Reflective accents provide extra visibility during nighttime runs. Shoe Pouch is available for order today at (current orders shipping in 4-6 weeks).

Griffin's wearable accessory collection will begin shipping in June, with additional retail launches scheduled throughout the Summer. For more information, visit and check out the video at:

I might try out the sleep/sport band. I've nearly lost my Shine several times because it's popped out of its "sport band." This looks like it'd hold it more securely.

Fitness trackers were accessories, now there are accessories for accessories :)
That's fun.

Haytham Hamad

still don't get the fitness tracking hype but happy there are options for those whom does.
I remember that it was as simple as that, you run till you can't catch breath and your scale will tell you if you are doing well in a week or so :)

I like the wrist band for the Fitbit. It kinda turns a One into a Force.
