Another highly anticipated smartwatch is the Omate TrueSmart, a Kickstarter project that was funded in September. The TrueSmart is an Android 4.2.2 powered device that can run as a standalone unit thanks to the built-in SIM slot. It runs a handful of Android apps already and Omate says that they'll have a full app store ready soon. You can also choose from various interfaces to find one that suits your style.

The TrueSmart can make calls, send SMS, email, social networks and all kinds of other Androidy things. It's not so much a smartwatch as a phone on your wrist — albeit a small one. It comes in 4GB and 8GB versions, is waterproof & dustproof and has a 600mAh battery.

If you're looking to pick one up you can pre-order now from Omate.
