Indian watch manufacturer Titan has announced that it is collaborating with HP in making a range of smartwatches that will be available later this year in India and select global markets.
Sridhar Solur, General Manager, Wearables and Smart Platforms at HP, stated that the collaboration would lead to timepieces that combine iconic designs with new-age connectivity options:
Our legacy of innovation is helping fashion-forward brands infuse technology into their designs to give consumers the stylish timepieces they want but that are more connected and responsive to the way they live today.
No further mention of what sort of operating system the smartwatches would run, but with a launch slated for sometime later this year, we should know more soon.
