Jabra's new earbuds will track your heartbeat while pumping tunes
The Sport Pulse Wireless earbuds from Jabra will, as the name might imply, monitor your heartbeat through your lobes. The Bluetooth earbuds feature a biometric heart rate monitor that will sync up with the Jabra Sport Pulse app (coming for both iPhone and Android) and give the exercising wearer real-time voice coaching. It's a fitness tracker, for your ears.
Of course, as Jabra is wont to do, the Sport Pulse Wireless earbuds are also meant to sound good, with Dobly-tuned sound and a lightweight design. Unlike LG's Heart Rate Earphones, which are tethered to a "wireless data processing medallion", the Sport Pulse Wireless earbuds are an all-in-one design that packs the drivers, sensors, and radio all into the earbuds and a small inline control module that hangs off the right earbud.
The Jabra Sport Pulse Wireless earbuds are due out in late September, and will be available for $199 from Best Buy.
