Tonight at CES Unveiled, we met with Kwikset to check out their new Kevo Plus. It's a new hardware with subscription service that lets you lock or unlock your door from anywhere as long as you have internet connection with your smartphone. You'll still need to have the Kwikset Kevo smart lock installed on your door. Want to see how it works? Watch our hands-on video.

When subscribing to the Kevo Plus service, users receive a Bluetooth-enabled gateway that plugs into an Internet router with an Ethernet connection. When a user touches the Kevo lock or uses the app, Kevo's Bluetooth Low Energy radio communicates with the gateway, which then connects seamlessly to Kevo Plus. In addition to remote locking and unlocking, subscribers also get unlimited anytime and scheduled eKeys, as well as real time activity monitoring.

Kevo Plus will be available through a membership plan offered on in the spring of 2015. Pricing hasn't been announced yet.
