Motorola has updated its Moto Maker website to support its use for the Moto 360 smartwatch for the first time, allowing buyers to choose from a selection of case finishes, bands and watch faces.

The company first announced its plans to add Moto Maker support for the Moto 360 a few weeks ago. While the customization features for the Moto 360 are not as extensive as those available for the Moto X smartphone, it's still a welcome addition for buyers of the Android Wear-based smartwatch.

Motorola says:

Choose from three case finishes: dark metal, light metal or champagne gold. Then pick one of nine bands, including leather, metal, and our new mono-link design, a modern take on the classic metal band style. Complete your design by choosing one of 11 watch faces. Once you get your watch, it's easy to swap watch faces from our collection or through Google Play.

You can go ahead and play around with Moto Maker for the Moto 360, but it appears that shipments of the mono link version of the smartwatch's 24mm metal band are currently delayed. Also, it can only be purchased with the Moto Maker and not on its own.

Thus is kind of a big deal. Since OEM's can't do much with changing the software on Android Wear, at least Moto is offering this option to offer some level of customization.
