Neptune Pine shrinks Android for your wrist #CESlive

By Adam Zeis on 9 Jan 2014 04:41 pm

John and I had the pleasure of chatting with Aaron Wilkins of Neptune Pine. This device is one that I've been wanting to get my hands on for quite some time, so I was super excited for out interview. The Neptune Pine is essentially a smartphone on your wrist, featuring a shrunken version of Android 4.2. The device has a front facing camera for video chats and a rear camera for photos as it can be removed from the band for easy access.

With a successful Kickstater in the books, the devices are set to start shipping in the next few weeks and we definitely can't wait to get our hands on one.

Needs a "smartphone" dock, Padfone style.

I get what they are trying to achieve, but just pull out your phone. Wayyy to big for my liking!

If only it were a Pip-Boy.

Frikken huge for a watch, but a nice piece of kit. I'd get one just to mount on my motorcycle as a dash cam. :)

Can it be connected to your smartphone like other current smartwatches? He started to answer, but got sidetracked...
