Adidas was originally meant to offer offline Spotify playback for its miCoach Smart Run wearable, but it looks like the sports equipment manufacturer has decided to go with Microsoft's MixRadio instead. The functionality, which will be available for offline usage, will be making its way to the device via the latest software update.

The collaboration means that you will be able to access over 30 million tracks and tailored playlists on your miCoach Smart Run:

No matter where you are, you will now be able to access a selection of playlists we've designed to motivate, inspire and push you towards achieving your goals. Do you have a 10k, half marathon or even marathon on the horizon? Doesn't matter whether you're just running for fun or you're training for the Boston Marathon – we have a playlist just for you.

Adidas will offer playlists based on the training mode you select, or you can manually select the genre of music you want to listen to. Through the integration, miCoach Smart Run customers will get six months of MixRadio for free, after which they can either subscribe to a premium membership or continue using the service for free with ads. What do you guys think of the MixRadio integration?
