Omate has announced the addition of two new circular smartwatches to its lineup. The new Roma (above, left) and Racer (above, right) watches utilize an always-on, near-circular display, similar to their previously-announced Lutetia smartwatch. As with previous models, the Roma and Racer focus more on being customizable watches, with basic smart functionality.
As before, the two new models will function mainly as notification watches with basic activity tracking plus customizable watch face, so they should offer the same week-long battery life.
The Racer will cost $99 while on pre-order January 5-15, after which it will cost $129 until January 31. It is expected to ship in February. The release date and pricing for the Roma have not yet been announced.
