Sony has reached another sales milestone with its PlayStation 4 game console. The company has announced that it has sold over 30.2 million units of the PlayStation 4 worldwide since it launched on November 15, 2013. The sales numbers are current as of November 22, 2015, according to Sony.
That means the PlayStation 4 has sold more units in its first two years than the PlayStation 2 did in its first two years. That older PlayStation model became Sony's best-selling game console and the highest selling console in history with 155 million units.
Sony decided to finally lower the price of the PlayStation 4 from $399 to $349 in October, and the company will sell the console bundled with the game Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection during Black Friday weekend period for just $299, starting on Thursday, November 26 and ending on Monday, November 30.
