If you've been eyeing up a Qualcomm Toq, there's no better time to buy than now. Both the white and black versions of the Toq have received a big price drop and are available now for just $249. That may still seem like a lot, but the Toq was originally priced at $350 so that's a $100 savings.

We're not sure if this is a permanent price drop as Amazon is still listing the Toq at $275, so if you want to grab one, get in now while the getting is good. The app just got a sweet update that adds activity tracking, and the Toq is still one of our favorite devices.

What this should have been priced in the first place. And not have that watch-band that you literally have to cut to fit your wrist.

Yeah their band sucks. I kind of wanted to adjust mine the other day, but oh well. Stuck with what you cut.

Does Qualcomm sell replacement bands? I like the Mirasol display tech behind the watch and the wireless charging option (did you get the wireless ear buds as well). Personally I'm going to wait for the Mk. II version of the Toq myself (if it ever does come out).

Don't think they do. Would be a good idea though. Hopefully v2 is improved in that area.

You run this site Adam. This is my go-to site for wearables - maybe you can send an email to Qualcomm saying that a replaceable watch-band option for the Toq would be a good thing. Having to cut the watch-band to fit and the initial $350 price put me off this Smartwatch especially. Look at the Galaxy Gear pricing initially in Canada - originally what $350 CAD and now down to $250 CAD (well it does help that the Galaxy Gear 2 will be announced later this week). My point: $120-$150 CAD for a basic Smartwatch like the original Pebble is fine, $200-$250 is pushing it for a more "upscale" version of a Smartwatch like the Pebble Steel and anything beyond $250 I won't look at personally. Makes me wonder what the rumored Google Smartwatch and Apple iWatch will be priced at.
