Not everyone is buying into wearables just yet, so some companies are offering up some other options. One such new device is the Smart Keychain — a small flash drive that can also show you important emails and calendar events. It's not as robust as smartwatch would be, but it still gives some smart functionality to those who don't want to go overboard. Oh, and it will help you find your lost keys as well.

The Smart Keychain is currently on Indiegogo and $59 will net you an 8GB device — $20 more and you're bumped to 32GB. You can use it just like a regular flash drive, but you can also choose up to 5 people from which to view emails, as well as your next calendar appointment. In the future, the company hopes to add even more functionality for things like loyalty cards, fitness tracking, and more.

Is a smart keychain something you'd buy? Or are you better suited just getting a smartwatch? Hit up the comments and let us know what you think!

I wish there was a way to integrate the remote for the car into some of these smart devices. I'm sure there will be soon but at the moment I already have 2 keyfobs plus lots of sets of keys and don't want to have to make them bigger.
