Samsung-owned home automation unit SmartThings has announced a new Android app that brings with it some UI tweaks and improvements. The app is available as a free download from the Google Play Store and comes with some neat new features to control your home.

Below are some of the features that the company is highlighting on version 1.6.5 of its app:

  • In the Activity Feed, you'll now notice that both the day and time are listed below each event

  • We've enhanced several aspects of the search option found in SmartSetup: the search bar is now in the header, clicking on "Search" will take you to the full search results, and the search option now has auto-complete functionality

  • New and improved larger carousel image display within the Things category of SmartSetup

In addition to the introduction of these features, the update will also carry the requisite bug fixes and performance enhancements.
