For its second hardware revision, Tado will finally bring hardware buttons to its connected thermostat. This way, you won't have to whip out your smartphone and launch an app before you can make any setting changes or adjustments. With hardware controls, you can change the temperature the old fashioned way, if you choose, by dialing up or down the temperature right on the new hardware.
In terms of functionality, Tado's new box won't offer more features over the old one. You'll still get your geofencing and automatic temperature adjustments to help save energy costs.
The second-generation model goes for £199, or £5 per month if you rent one.
