What smartwatch are you most looking forward to?

With so many watches on the horizon it's hard to keep track of the latest and greatest (thankfully we'll do that for you). We're nearing the time when a slew of new smartwatches are set to hit the streets and there are certainly many people who will be ecstatic to get their hands on a long-awaited watch — from Kreyos to HOT to the Omate TrueSmart

Out of all the watches making their way to an official release, there must be one that you're looking forward to the most.

Maybe it's the power-packed Neptune Pine? The fitness-crazy Kreyos Meteor? Or perhaps you're holding out for the iWatch (whatever that may be). No matter what it is, we want to know which smartwatch your most looking forward to. There are plenty that will become available in the next few weeks, so if you don't know your favorite yet, you better figure it out!

Drop your vote in the poll below, then hit up the comments and let us know why!

What smartwatch are you most looking forward to?

One of the Archos-models, because it looks good in my opinion (the model that will be the most "expensive").

I was torn between Pebble Steel and HotWatch for this poll, but I went with the PS.

For the people who are voting "Other", what are you looking forward to the most? If I'd clicked that, I think mine would be the Razer Nabu.

I'm really looking forward to the "Gem" watch (of whatever Google will end up calling it).

Ditto! I'm guess-timating 3 months if they don't run into any more problems, how much longer do you think it will be?

Sony Smartwatch 3 since it'll be several generations ahead just by sheer experience in what works and what doesn't in the real world.

Kreyos for me. That said I'm surprised the HOTwatch isn't polling higher. That private call feature (assuming it works) is cool.

Strange that you mention the kreyos in the post but its not in the poll.

Currently for me it's the Pebble Steel, would likely switch to iWatch when there is more proof of concept or announcement made.

Google is supposedly rumored to have a smartwatch so that is why I checked Other :-)

Of the announced watches, the Pebble Steel and the Neptune Pine interest me. It'll be interesting to see what happens when Google comes out with their watch as well - I like the idea of Google Now on a watch.

1. How is iWatch on this list but Gem isn't? Neither one has even been acknowledged to exist.

2. To everyone voting Pebble Steel... why? It's simply an existing Pebble with some new material. It's nothing new or pushing the boundaries at all. It's them taking $100 more from you for a fraction of the cost in materials.

The reason why? I ordered the Pebble Steel is because its not an existing Pebble. Its given myself and many others that were waiting for a Steel version of a Smartwatch the opportunity to buy one and I'm glad it was Pebble. Taking $100 is a fair price for Steel, Gorilla Glass, also the notification LED. I read somewhere it also has double the memory. Glad they kept the existing pebble at $100 less......keeps us all happy :)

I do hope the iWatch becomes a reality some time this year and will patiently wait for it as the Pebble will keep me busy especially with the Pebble store opening soon :)

The Fitbit Force with notifications that will work on BlackBerry. Maybe a pipe dream. Or that ring with notifications that's on kikstarter or something.

My vote went to the iWatch but have ordered the Pebble Steel to use until the iWatch becomes reality. I got interested in the pebble when it was on kickstarter but the interest disappeared when I noticed a steel version wasn't available. As soon as I found out it was available In steel I ordered one instantly. With the pebble store opening soon it's just another bonus and the $250 price tag is just right.

For me the touchscreen one is more functionale and user friendly, i bought sony smartwatch 2 and it is good but it would be good if it would have 4+ days battery life and microphone and speaker for calling and google now(or similar). It has many pretty good apps and is mostly waterproof and nice in hand and ok looking. And support for android 4.x is good becouse is important that it will work more than just manuafacter phones(eg iwatch if it comes and galaxy gear)

I think sony smartwatch 2 ia best for now and 3 will compete with iwatch and gear 2. Pebble, metawatch, archos eg models without touchreen are not as functional than watches with touchscreen but could offer better battery life, better water resistant and always on clockface which is more like regular watch, smartwatch2 has always on clock but it is not always so easy to read than regulae watch(or e ink display smartwatches)

edit of course google smartwatch can be good but propably more like gear with poor battery life and it is big.

Oh, forgot what I was really waiting for.... the next one coming around the corner that pushes the envelope. Always waiting for the next best thing.

Really want to see the "Gem". Can't wait to hear what Google has up it's sleeves. I think it will be a combination of Glass and Now and that sounds about perfect to me.

I like the concept design that was on the front of Wired magazine (I think last month). Hopefully some of the designs in the next batch or two look a little more along those lines; instead of design being an afterthought, if at all. (search: wired how we designed the smart watch of our dreams)
