Xiaomi 'definitely thinking' about making a smartwatch, looking for feature suggestions
Xiaomi, the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, is considering the possibility of making a smartwatch. The vendor's global VP Huro Barra said that Xiaomi has not "decided yet that we are ready to launch a smartwatch," although a decision on the same would be made in the next few months. During that time, Xiaomi is asking its user community for feedback on the kind of features they are looking for in a smartwatch.
A smartwatch would not be the first Xiaomi product in the world of wearable devices, as the vendor already sells a fitness tracker called Mi Band. Available for just $13, the Mi Band tracks your daily activity, can be used to unlock your Xiaomi phone and lasts 30 days on a full charge. It will be interesting to see what Xiaomi has in store for the smartwatch segment.
