Anki Drive gets a price drop and new Spektrix car, Android app coming soon

A new contender has joined the Anki Drive team, and it goes by the name of Spektrix. Bringing the full-lineup of cars to seven, Spektrix is dubbed the "cunning trickster" of the bunch.

Mischief and sabotage are SPEKTRIX's keys to victory. Speed and power can't help enemies when SPEKTRIX's clever hacks wreak havoc and dominate the competition.

The iOS app has received various tweaks and fixes as well, adding new race modes to the mix. Anki also notes that an Android version of the app is finally on the way, though iOS and Android users won't be able to compete in multiplayer mode at the same time.

In addition, Anki has dropped the price of their starter kit from $199 to just $149 — the discount set to last through the holidays.

This is good news for me! I have used the one I won on here a few times. Since I don't own an iOS device I can't use it as much as I would like to. With an Android app on the way I will finally have a device in house I could play Anki drive on! Hopefully the android version launches before Christmas
