Roku owners who also use Comcast as their cable TV provider can finally access both the HBO Go and Showtime Anytime apps on those streaming video devices.

This move is the culmination of discussions between Roku and Comcast. Re/code reports that on Monday, Roku filed a note with the Federal Communications Commission that stated the two companies had finally come to an agreement after "several months" of talks that would allow customers of Comcast to access the streaming apps for both pay cable TV networks on the Roku set-top TV boxes as well as the more recent Roku Stick. Comcast customers must still be paid subscribers to HBO and/or Showtime to access the HBO Go and Showtime Anytime apps on Roku devices.

I had the same issue with HBO GO and DirecTV. I'm paying for the service so who gives a rat's-arse how I watch it?!?
