Hands-on with the Brushed Stainless Pebble Steel

By Jared DiPane on 4 Feb 2014 07:55 pm

When Pebble first introduced the Pebble Steel they announced that it was going to be made available in two color variants, Brushed Stainless and Matte Black. Back at CES we were able to get a look at these devices, and Adam just did a full review of the Matte Black variant as well. Our pal Phil from Android Central got his Brushed Stainless Pebble Steel delivered today and snapped up some pictures for us to share.

Both the Matte Black and Brushed Stainless offer an elegant look, it really just comes down to preference on colors at this point. With the Pebble appstore having just landed on iOS and coming soon for Android, the times ahead are very exciting for Pebble owners.

Be sure to check out the full gallery above and then let us know whether you prefer the Brushed Stainless or Matte Black Pebble Steel.

Hands-on with the Brushed Stainless Pebble Steel

Agree with Adams comments... it would really be nice to see a video on changing out the band. I'm sure I will try out the leather band for a while, but will more than likely change to the metal band soon after. Saw Phil's unboxing video, so you guys have one. Thanks for this new resource!

The band is held in place with an actual screw, which is much, much better - and safer! - than a normal spring (I have lost watches because of malfunctioning springs). Adjusting the metal band is very much like adjusting a band of any other metal watch.
BTW: There are already videos out there on YT, but I agree, I'd be nice to have one of the guys here doing a short tutorial.

I'd prefer the Stainless one I ordered within 2 hours of launch that I haven't even received a shipping notification on yet!! Hells teeth, Pebble, you are testing my patience!

Oh, and p.s. Miriam Joire? Don't delete comments on your Pebble blog just because you don't like the question!
