  • From the home screen open the Gear Manager application
  • Tap Find my Gear
  • Tap on the Start button to activate the sound and turn on the Gear’s display
  • The next screen shows you that the search is in progress
  • When the Gear is located, you can either tap Stop on your mobile’s display or touch and swipe on the red “X” icon on the Gear to disable the search

  • From the Galaxy Gear, swipe to the left and tap on Apps
  • Touch Find my device
  • Tap Start to enable the sound and turn on your mobile device’s display
  • The next screen shows you that the search is in progress
  • When your mobile device is located, you can either tap Stop on the Galaxy Gear or swipe the red “X” icon on your smartphone to shut off

So if either of your devices happen to fall in-between the couch cushions or you lay it down in another room and forget, the locate option is certainly something to take advantage of.
