Quick Review: iFixit 54 Bit Driver Kit

When I was looking to change up the band on my Pebble Steel, I had to dig deep to find a screwdriver small enough to fit the tiny screws. After I spent 30 minutes tracking down my eyeglass set, I remembered I had also picked up the iFixit 54 Bit Driver Kit for just this kind of situation.

The iFixit kit has everything you need (and more!) for pretty much any type of electronic device you need to get into. There are precision screwdrivers, torx bits, but drivers and even pentalobe bits.

The set is extremely handy if you tinker with your electronics at all — or in my case — need to change a watch band. The set includes a variety of different bits for every occasion.

Included in the set:

  • Pentalobe sizes 2, 5, 6 (iPhone, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro)
  • Flathead sizes 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4 mm
  • Phillips sizes #000, #00, #0, #1, #2
  • JIS sizes 000, 00, 0, 1
  • Torx sizes T3, T4, T5, T6
  • Torx Security TR7, TR8, TR9, TR10, TR15, TR20 (compatible with non-security)
  • Hex sizes 0.7, 0.9, 1.3, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 6 mm
  • Square sizes #0, #1, #2
  • Triangle size 3 mm
  • Tri-wing sizes #0, #1
  • Nut Driver sizes 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 5 mm

This one is a no-brainer. Everything is in one place for easy access when you need it. No matter if you're full-on fixing a PC or just want to open up an old phone, this set has what you need to get it done.
