Guess is teaming up with Martian Watches to make future products. The announcement comes today from the companies involved and will see products appearing in 2015 from the partnership. The deal has Martian working with Guess to produce and develop interactive, voice-command wrist accessories.

Sequel AG is a watch division of the Timex Group. It's responsible for the Guess brand of watches. Martian Watches is a smartwatch company from Irvine, California. Martian and Sequel are teaming up to produce smartwatches within the Guess brand.

Here's Sequel CEO Cindy Livingston on the partnership:

"We are excited to partner with Martian Watches. Of the smartwatch developers we've observed, Martian has captured what we believe is the essence of blending fashion with intelligent features. Their technology will help make our sexy designs, "smart"—not just smartwatches that try to mimic the smartphone. It's the beginning of an era where wrist accessories will be able to do much more than tell time."

Specific products will be announced by early 2015. Anyone interested in a Guess smartwatch?
