Misfit is adding to its connected hardware products with today's CES 2015 announcement of the Misfit Bolt, a new light-bulb that connects to the company's Misfit Home mobile app. The price for the Misfit Bolt is pretty high at $49.99 but its cost is similar to other connected light bulbs.

The company says:

Bolt is a wirelessly-connected light bulb that lets you personalize your home lighting to create beautiful lightscapes. With a stunning sunrise simulation, Bolt makes getting out of bed a brighter experience for all! A warm white light, Bolt is bright enough for everyday lighting and makes a bold statement in any room with its color changing features. Transform your environment with millions of colors and combinations available through the NEW Misfit Home mobile app [available for download soon]. Bolt works directly with your smartphone, no complicated hubs or setup needed.

Pre-orders for the Misfit Bolt are now being taken, with shipments scheduled to begin in February. There is also a 3-pack bundle for $129.99, or $43.33 per Bolt bulb.
