One of the great things about Android is the ability to flash custom ROM's through a custom recovery, and the Omate TrueSmart watch has just gained official support of one of the biggest custom recoveries on Android. Team Win Recovery Project -- aka TWRP -- has just announced an official build that will allow you to flash and have a little more fun with your Omate TrueSmart. The TrueSmart was born through Kickstarter after raising over a million dollars in an attempt to bring a modified version of Android to your wrist.

Omate already had some big goals for being able to customize the TrueSmart, and having a custom recovery will allow that to go even further. Currently there is not too much that you can do with the recovery, but we can imagine that the excitement this brings will have people doing some great new things for it shortly. Keep in mind that modifying the software is a risk that could lead to bricking the device so proceed with caution and be sure to read all the instructions.

For more information be sure to head over to the TeamWin Omate TrueSmart download page and then get to having some fun.
