Pebble Steel review roundup

The Pebble Steel reviews hit the web today (read ours here!) and most of them agree that Pebble's latest offering is a great little device. The Pebble Steel doesn't offer much of an upgrade on the inside, yet it's what's on the outside that really matters this time around. Users harped on the original Pebble for looking too cheap, so Pebble upped their game and put everything inside a gorgeous steel casing.

The result is the $249 Pebble Steel — which comes in Black Matte and Brushed Stainless varieties. The devices are set to begin shipping today to those who pre-ordered, but while you wait it out you can certainly get your fill of things with all of the reviews from around the web.

Most reviewers are in agreement that the Pebble Steel is the top smartwatch right now, though the high price tag may be a turn off for some users. Here are what others had to say about the new smartwatch from Pebble:

Simply put, the Steel isn't going to persuade many people to swap out their perfectly functional Hamilton, Movado or Citizen, but if you're in the market for a replacement and want a smartwatch, this is your best option.

And yet, I want to buy a Pebble Steel. This is a smartwatch the way I imagined it. It won’t do everything in the world, but it’ll do a lot. Its design, app selection, phone compatibility, water resistance, and overall ease of use have won me over, and everything finally feels fully-baked.

The Verge:

If you’re in the market for a smartwatch right now, you should buy a Pebble Steel.

At $249.99, the Pebble Steel is an attractive and very capable smartwatch. It's more fashionable and more professional looking and feels like a much more polished commercial product.

Great article. Links and all.

I still want a Martain Notifier, but going with an all digital face, this would be the one for me.

Thanks, very good of you to compile links into one article and to recognise that many like to read at least several different reviews from various sites before deciding on whether to buy something or not.
