Sony wants to make e-paper fashionable with new watches, bowties, and more

Sony exploring new, fashion-oriented uses for e-paper

Sony has been quietly developing a series of projects, called "Fashion Entertainments", for new uses of e-paper One of these projects is called the Fes Watch, which has a band and face made from e-paper, with the band changing based gestures from the user into one of 24 different styles.

Sony's name and involvement with the project was initially hidden, with the Fes Watch raising money via crowd funding. While Sony has not announced a date for the watch, backers have been told that they can expect their Fes to ship after May 2015.

The team behind the Fes watch is developing other products as well. Also in the works are e-paper bow ties, hat accessories, and more.
