ZEN & TECH 66: Tech for living Zen

Good show. I have recently moved into a new flat and there are three things that currently make my life a little easier:

Global Knives and the sous-vide machine Rene tempted me into backing aside my current kitchen favourites are my smart herb garden and smartpot. Plug in, add water and ignore. I no longer need to remember to buy fresh herbs, or regularly water the plants, or ensure they get enough light. I can just get on with life until they start flashing at me to add more water.

Rene will hate this but I love my Nespresso coffee machine. Select a capsule, drop it in, press a button and hello espresso. Running out of capsules? Open the app, make your picks and have them delivered. I love coffee and previously had a bean-to-cup machine but the sheer convenience of the above outweighs the drop in quality from beans. For now.

My third and final favourite thing right now is my dimmable IR switches for my LED lights. I will eventually move completely to Hue but this is my interim solution. The ability to dim the lights and then turn them off completely without leaving bed is both incredibly lazy and amazingly convenient. The simple things are the best!

I really like case+mounting solutions, my only concern about the one that was showed is about dust and ease to take it off the pocket... I'm a big fan of rokbed from rockform.com but only a few devices are supported :/
